  • Place banana chunks into large zip-lock freezer bags. Place in freezer until bananas are stiff.
  • Remove bananas from freezer and place into a food processor. Add chocolate hazelnut spread.

Peanut butter and jelly ice cream sandwiches: Summer Treats

What you’ll need:

  • 1 pint regular or low-fat vanilla ice cream
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 9 full-size graham crackers
  • 1/4 cup jam or jelly

What to do:

  • Leave ice cream out of the freezer for 10 minutes to soften.
  • Spoon ice cream into mixing bowl. Add peanut butter using a rubber spatula.
  • Line a baking sheet with wax paper. Spread mixture onto a baking sheet. Cover mixture with another sheet of waxed paper.
  • Place the baking sheet into the freezer for 20 to 45 minutes until solid.
  • Turn over mixture onto a cutting board, peeling off the wax paper.
  • Cut the ice cream mixture into nine evenly sized squares. They should be the same size as the graham cracker squares.
  • Spread jam or jelly onto a graham cracker. Add a square of the ice cream mixture. Place another graham cracker on top.
  • Place each finished sandwich in the freezer, or serve them immediately.
